Premiered at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH, by the Antioch String Quartet, Myron Kartman, first violin.  Also known as Three Designs for Four Players. At this time, Miss Perry was studying with French composer Darius Milhaud in the summers at Aspen. I

It was performed January 18, 1976, at the Paul Laurence Dunbar Afro-American Cultural Arts Center Black Music Heritage Concert Series by Lois Shegog and Leslie Schwartz, violins; Vicky Sinclair, viola, Laura Handler, cello. A reading of this quartet was done at the Conference/Workshop on 20th Century String Quartets by Women Composers in March 1980, in New York City. Thanks to music copyist Bill Hawkins Finn.
